There was some closure for the family, 66days after Ms Celine Ng Swee Peng was last seen alive.
Yesterday morning, Ms Ng's family turned up at the mortuary at Singapore General Hospital to collect her body.
They will hold a three-day wake before giving her a proper funeral.
The property agent was last seen on May 25, the eve of her 36th birthday.
Ms Ng, the second of three children, was reported missing on May 28 by her family members.
More than five weeks later, on July 5, her decomposed body was found in a forested area off Clementi Road.
Her housemate and long-time friend, Ang Soo Hoon, 36, was charged with her murder on July 13.
The derivatives trader, better known as Ash, is accused of killing Ms Ng between 3am and 9.50am on May 26.
The murder allegedly took place at WestBay Condominium at West Coast Crescent.
The two women had lived in a sixth-storey two-bedroom apartment there.
