THE story of a boy being molested by his tuition teacher grabbed the headlines of all major Chinese dailies.

China Press reported yesterday that besides "examining" the boy's private parts, the teacher also taught the 13-year-old how to masturbate.

However, when contacted by the daily, the teacher denied any wrongdoing and said it was part of sex education.

The teacher was also quoted as saying that by giving the boy sex education, he could help him concentrate better during his tuition lessons.

After the incident on Nov 20, the boy refused to go for his tuition.

The daily quoted the boy as saying that the teacher had brought him home because he forgot to take some things.

"At the teacher's house, he told me that he struck first prize in a four-digit lottery after a boy masturbated at his house," the victim said, adding that he fled the teacher's house after saying he was feeling unwell.

The boy added that the teacher asked him not to tell others about the incident.

However, the boy told his parents about his experience and they decided to go to the press.
