MALAYSIA - A 14-YEAR-old student was forced to smell her disciplinary teacher's feet after she was caught with long fingernails during a spot check in a school in Johor Baru, reported China Press.

Chen Shu Fang, from SK Menengah Taman Daya Tiga, claimed her disciplinary teacher also caned her during the school assembly on Aug 13.

Telling China Press her side of the story, she told the daily she was caught with long nails during the spot check and was ordered to have it cut immediately.

"I did not object to the instruction. While waiting for a nail clipper to arrive, another teacher came and ordered me to stand in front of other students."

She said the disciplinary teacher was called in when she refused to follow the instruction.

She claimed the disciplinary teacher caned her on the thigh and ordered her to smell her feet in full view of the students.

Chen also claimed the teacher snatched her school bag, causing the strap to snap.

She has since lodged a police report on the matter.

A school spokesman told the daily that the disciplinary teacher would meet up with the victim's parents to explain the incident.
