Student's notice-board courtship all in vain

CHINA - A notice written in English by a love-struck fool looking for the girl of his dreams was placed on a university bulletin board in Chongqing last Wednesday.

Liu Hai, 27, an employee of a local advertising company, came across a beautiful girl on the campus on Aug 27 and followed her to her dormitory without saying hello.

Later on he could not get the girl off his mind and posted a message online in the hope someone could introduce them.

After getting no help from netizens, Liu decided to put up the notice and thought that writing it in English would be more romantic.

The girl, surnamed Hu, a third-year student at the university, told local media she didn't want a boyfriend while studying, and hoped the "farce" would quickly blow over.
