See the magic this school holidays

If your child is bored and restless at home this school holidays, here's a good solution for cure : Let him talk to a living disembodied head.

From Nov 21, the Science Centre Singapore will be holding a world-renowned exhibition originating from the United States.

Titled 'Magic: The Science of Illusion', the display will illustrate how and why we see illusions and explore the links between magic and the scientific world.

Highlights of this world-class exhibition include:

  • Illusion of a Disembodied Head - talk with a living disembodied head and then place your own disembodied head on a platter.
  • Illusion of Transformation - learn how to miraculously transform a lightweight chest into one that is extremely heavy.
  • Illusion of Mentalism - explore the science behind mind reading and how magicians know the outcome every time.
  • Levitation - experience the illusion of rising and floating off the ground.
  • Magicians and Performances - learn the secrets of history's greatest magicians.

'Magic: The Science of Illusion' ends its run on Feb 28, 2009.

READERS' POSTINGS
"This is great to keep overseas Singaporeans connected to home news and affairs"

"My favourite was "The Aftermath for Malaysia Election" - (in my opinion), this was a very well crafted world standard image, it is even suitable for a Time magazine cover!"
