Crowds at textbook giveaway

Thousands flocked to four schools yesterday to get free used textbooks in an annual event organised by NTUC FairPrice.

Last Saturday, students from low-income families were given the first pick.

The textbooks went to 11,500 people, 40 per cent more than last year's figure.
