THE new university on the East Coast will offer cross-disciplinary courses to produce well-rounded graduates who are grounded in both the arts and sciences said Education Minister Ng Eng Hen.

Mr Ng was speaking on Tuesday in response to Nominated Member of Parliament Kalyani Mehta's questions regarding whether or not the new university would offer such subjects.

Associate Professor Mehta, a lecturer at the National University of Singapore , also asked if students could enrol in these subjects in the other three universities if they are not taught at the new university.
