More international students in S'pore

>THE number of international students here has grown over 50 per cent in just five years. Last year, there were 97,000 such students, up from 86,000 in 2007.

The figures show that Singapore is becoming a popular study destination for students from the region and beyond, said Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of State for Trade and Industry, at the Singapore Education Awards ceremony yesterday.
