Time-recording systems not just for daily-rated workers

I DISAGREE that the punchcard system is only for bosses to calculate daily-rated workers' salaries.

The punchcard or any time-recording method has many other uses for all kinds of employees.

Recording the time the staff is working can be useful, say, when it comes to an insurance claim, should anything unfortunate happen at the work place.

Indeed, I recommend that all students log in too.

This will help the school monitor student activities.

And if any student skips school after attendance is taken, the school will know.

Using thumb prints for time-logging is also becoming common. My company is installing it, and managerial and administrative staff also log in.

So let us be more accepting of the punchcard system.
