KLANG, MALAYSIA: It was fun time for 150 pupils of SK Simpang Lima here on Sunday when they learn-ed a great and healthy way to start their day and keep it productive.

Through the "Koko Smart Start Camp", the pupils learned to prepare their own breakfast following the food-pyramid guide.

The five-hour camp also taught them to label their food and list out the nutrients and their functions in the bodies.

The camp was a joint effort by the New Straits Times Press Bhd (NSTP) and Nestle.

To make it interesting, the programme also had games and puzzles for the pupils who were divided into several groups.

They also learned to write poems on food and create cartoon strips using cutouts from the NST.

NSTP circulation assistant manager (school unit) Anne Gan said the programme was to teach the pupils the benefits of a healthy diet and at the same time, inculcate the good reading habit. --NST
