ALOR STAR, MALAYSIA - The High Court yesterday granted an ex-parte injunction to stop Universiti Utara Malaysia from managing a Master of Business Administration course at its campus in Kulim.

The order was obtained by KCI Management Sdn Bhd, a company specialising in managing education programmes.

Judge Datuk Zamani Abdul Rahman allowed the stay order to KCI pending disposal of the inter-parte application scheduled on July 28.

KCI's counsel, C.V Krishnadevan, said outside the court the order was obtained after the university terminated a memorandum of understanding with the company.
