THE Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS)'s Diploma in Psychology is awarded jointly by MDIS and Oklahoma City University.

The university was named one of the best western colleges in the United States by the Princeton Review 2008, and ranked in the top tier of America's Best Colleges (Western Regional Universities) from 2001 to 2009 by the US News & World Report.

The psychology programme will teach students the factors that shape an individual's mindset.

It will also cover other aspects, including marketing, leadership development, and clinical and health psychology.

The marketing module will teach students how to market products and services, while the leadership-development module will teach them how to train employees, and cultivate leaders.

The module on clinical and health psychology will equip students with the skills to counsel people into changing unhealthy behaviour, such as smoking and overeating, which can result in diseases like cancer and heart disease.

The programme will also train students in critical thinking, report writing and research methods.

It will be taught by professionals from Singapore who are specialised in the field, and who have been approved by the university.

Graduates from the programme can find career opportunities in various fields, such as health psychology, occupational psychology, training and teaching, social services or counselling, marketing, government and public services, and human resources.
