Schools, give Net use guidelines
Mon, Oct 05, 2009
my paper

I WAS impressed when I read the report, 'Learning made easy via netbooks' (my paper, Sept 29).

It is encouraging that young students are using technology to help them do research for their studies.

It would be good if schools could encourage students to become responsible netizens by using Internet resources such as blogs, YouTube and Facebook appropriately.

Schools could draw up a list of dos and don'ts guiding students on how to post comments about blogposts and on online discussion boards.
