Go for subsidised courses
Thu, Nov 12, 2009
my paper

I REFER to the article, "Never too old to learn security skills" (my paper, Nov 11).

I wish to commend the two individuals featured, as well as the many others who have gone through and successfully completed training courses.

I urge those seeking a career change, fresh school leavers or the unemployed to attend such courses, which are highly subsidised.

The training centres and course instructors should be flexible and tolerant.

They should also show care, concern and sensitivity, and help course participants as much as possible.
