THE Education Ministry is bringing teachers trained in learning difficulties into the schools next year, to coach pupils with dyslexia in reading and spelling.

The ministry has, for a start, identified three primary schools that will also serve dyslexic pupils from nearby schools, said Education Minister Ng Eng Hen at a conference on dyslexia on Saturday.

The primary schools - Zhenghua, Ahmad Ibrahim and Gan Eng Seng - will also work with parents to help them understand their children's needs and the intervention programmes offered by the non-profit Dyslexia Association of Singapore.
