THE testimony of Jason Ho Zhi Yuan is riddled with inconsistencies and he was not truthful in court, said an investigating officer.
Much of what the 29-year-old finance manager said at the coroner inquiry into the death of American exchange student Scott Jared Monat was contradicted by the evidence, said Mohamed Salleh Ahmed Mitten.
The senior station inspector told the coroner court on Friday that there was no evidence of foul play in Mr Monat's death. The 20-year-old American had died of complications arising from his reaction to a cocktail of drugs and alcohol. He was with his friend, Mr Ho, 29 in his hostel room at the National University of Singapore, when he became unconscious at about 5am on March 4, last year.
