A SAFETY review of how sports is carried out in schools here will start soon, and will be completed in three to four months.

Education Minister Ng Eng Hen, who revealed this on Thursday at the official opening of the Council of Private Education, said this is 'timely' given the spotlight sports has received in the past couple of weeks.

The review committee will look at best practices in other countries, general aspects of competitive and contact sports and enhancements which can be made to increase safety for sports in schools.
