Indonesian naval chief visits S'pore

INDONESIAN navy chief Sumardjono called on Singapore defence chief Teo Chee Hean on Thursday.

Admiral Sumardjono is in town for a three-day introductory visit.

During his visit, he also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Desmond Kuek and Chief of Navy Rear Admiral Chew Men Leong.

He also visited Changi Naval Base.

The navy of both countries maintain close relationships through such extensive visits and exercises.
