Who: Former Taipei city councilwoman and ex-director of Hsinchu City's Bureau of Cultural Affairs.
Scandal: Seen having sex with married man in 40-minute VCD that surfaced in Taiwan in 2001. Given free by tabloid magazine, it spread throughout Asia via the Internet and black market. Video allegedly filmed and distributed by her ex-boyfriend and others. Tsai Jen-chien, a former governor of the northern city of Hsinchu, and 10 others were indicted on charges of invading her privacy.
Portfolio: Clinched a seat in Taipei City in 1990. In 2001, before scandal broke out, she ran for legislative elections in Taichung city but failed to win seat.
Now: Married to man 10 years younger, the couple owns two cafe franchises in England. Last March, she signed three-year contract with Macau Asian Satellite TV as news anchor.
Her annual fee: HK$5 million ($1m) fee.
