Doctors hopeful for Ramos-Horta's 'full recovery'

>DARWIN, AUSTRALIA - Doctors treating East Timor President Jose Ramos-Horta believe he will make a full recovery despite being hit by up to three assassin's bullets, a senior doctor told AFP Monday.

"I am hopeful for his full recovery," Royal Darwin Hospital General Manager Doctor Len Notaras said after seeing Ramos-Horta, adding that the president had been struck by either two or three bullets.

"The fact that he is in a stable condition is a good sign that we should see some reasonable outcomes for him," he said.
