Plane crashes in southeast Cambodia : official

>PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA - AN AIRPLANE has crashed in the remote province of Kampot in southeast Cambodia, a local military commander said on Tuesday.

'I can confirm there was a foreign plane that crashed in Cambodia in the province of Kampot this morning. We don't have any details,' deputy Kampot military commander Kung Mony told Reuters.

Villagers in one district told Reuters they had heard a loud explosion. Soldiers and police were searching the area. -- REUTERS
