KLANG, MALAYSIA: The body parts that were found scattered on the railway tracks between the Padang Jawa and Bukit Badak stations here on Monday are believed to be that of a man who had been abducted.

The victim, a 51-year-old businessman, had gone missing on Saturday night -- believed to have been abducted by "Ah Long" over a RM30,000 debt.

Police, however, are waiting for the DNA test results before confirming the identity of the victim.

Klang police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Mat Yusup said family members of the man recognised the shirt from the body parts but could not make a positive identification as the face was disfigured.

Mohamad said blood samples have been taken from family members and if the DNA tests results came back positive, the case would be classified as kidnap and murder.

It is also learnt that a woman, in her 30s, has been arrested in connection with the case.

She is believed to have introduced the loan sharks to the victim.

The missing person is believed to be a businessman from Taman Chi Liung here. About 11.30pm on Saturday night, three men came to the house and demanded to see him.

The men told the family that they wanted to take him out to speak to him and would bring him back in 15 minutes.

But they did not return and several hours later the family received a phone call informing them that the man would be held until the family settled the loan.

It was revealed that the businessman had borrowed RM30,000 but due to interest the sum stood at more than RM100,000.

The loan sharks demanded full payment. The family could not come up with the sum demanded and negotiated to pay RM10,000 for his release, promising to settle the loan in full later.

The RM10,000 was dropped off by a family member in Taman Sentosa on Sunday night.

Despite the loan sharks' promise that the victim would be released, the businessman was never seen again.

On Monday, police received a report that a severed foot of a man was found by the railway track near the Padang Jawa commuter station.

About the same time, the body of an unidentified man, minus a leg and other limbs, was found near Bukit Badak.
