Robber hits 7-11

Gunman gets away with small sums

A gunman robbed two Bangkok 7-Eleven stores in the space of two hours late Tuesday night, harming no staff and making off with a total of Bt2,600.

Police from three areas believe the man robbed another 7-Eleven store on Monday night.

They have interviewed staff at the three stores and all identified the same suspect.

Bt600 loot

At 11.45pm on Tuesday, the man, in a long-sleeved striped shirt and a black cap, robbed Bt600 from a store near Suam Siam Soi 1 in Khan Na Yao district. He held up a second store near Jorrakhe Bua post office at 1.30am, still in the same outfit. He took Bt2,000 and a packet of cigarettes.

Remote area

The man is also said to be responsible for robbing a store on Monday in Hua Mark. He has been identified as the same person. All three 7-Eleven stores are in remote areas.

Police have released a picture of the suspect and have security-camera film of him committing the robberies. They hope this and a description of his blue Honda Wave motorcycle will lead to an identification.

Bang Chan police say the suspect is possibly not a local.
