MANILA - TEN South Korean nationals were killed after the van they were travelling in swerved and struck a building in a town north of the Philippine capital, a police official said on Thursday.

The van with the 10 South Koreans aboard was returning from the northern resort town of Baguio on Wednesday when it suddenly swerved in Bolinao town and hit a building, said officer Romeo Hilomen.

The people aboard the van were rushed to hospitals but none of them survived, the police officer said.

Most of the South Koreans were tourists while the others were local residents acting as tour guides, the police said without giving details. -- AFP
