Hokkaido Elec nuke plant operating normal after quake

>TOKYO, Sept 11 - Japan's Hokkaido Electric Power Co said on Thursday its Tomari nuclear power plant in western Hokkaido is operating normally after an earthquake struck the region.

Nippon Oil also said its 180,000 barrels per day Muroran refinery was operating normally.

The earthquake which struck off the coast of Japan's northernmost main island had a preliminary magnitude of 7, the meteorological agency said.
