6.0 quake hits Sumatra

>A MAGNITUDE 6.0 earthquake struck Indonesia's Sumatra island on Friday, the United States Geological Survey said on its website. There was no tsunami warning.

The quake was centred 88 miles south southwest off Bengkulu at a depth 21.7 miles, it said.
