Mumbai terror: Probe into credit card link
Sun, Nov 30, 2008
New Straits Times

KUALA LUMPUR: Police will investigate reports by international news agencies that Malaysian-issued credit cards had been found in the personal belongings of terrorists in Mumbai.

"These reports have to be verified first as it is too early to make assumptions," said Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar.

"Police will also look into the possibility that the credit cards could have been forged." International news agencies have carried reports that Malaysian credit cards were discovered in the knapsacks of several terrorists who were killed in shootouts with military commandos in Mumbai.

This raises the possibility of the terrorists being in Malaysia before carrying out the attacks just like the Sept 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States.
