Toy gun fires real bullets
Fri, Dec 05, 2008
Yomiuri Shimbun, ANN

TOKYO - The president of a Tokyo-based firm making toy guns was arrested on Tuesday for possession of his own product.

A new model of the company's "airsoft" replica guns can fire real bullets, without any modification, through six 4mm-thick wooden boards.

The police say Mr Yoshimoto Tanaka, 64, president of Tanaka Works, sold the Casyopea guns though aware of their deadly nature.

Released in July, the Casyopea has been recalled. Its deadliness has sparked heated Internet debate. - YOMIURI SHIMBUN/ANN
