A slaughterhouse agreed on Monday to give 300,000 yuan (S$64,087) to a worker's family after a pig kicked him into a pool of boiling water in Shaoguan, Guangdong province.

The slaughterhouse was sued after the man was seriously scalded.

After more than 20 mediation sessions with judges, the two parties reached an agreement.
