Body of Russian tourist retrieved

Phuket - The body of a Russian tourist who drowned at the Karon Beach here, Sunday was found in a canal near the beach Tuesday.

Police identified the tourist as Alexander Lukin, 22.

He was swept away by a big wave Sunday and rescue officials could not locate his body until he was spotted in the canal near the Centara Beach Resort Hotel.
