LOS ANGELES, USA - The Orange County coroner's office in California has said that foul play is not suspected in the death of indicted financier Danny Pang of Newport Beach, The Los Angeles Times has reported.

But the newspaper said no cause of death was given after an autopsy on 42-year-old Pang, who had been charged with a series of frauds, including bilking millions from investors.

The cause will not be given until the completion of toxicology tests, said Deputy Mitchell Sigal of the coroner's office, according to the Times report.

"That could take two to three months," Sigal is quoted by the paper as saying.

Paramedics arrived at Pang's home Friday afternoon and found him not breathing, the report said.

He was taken to a hospital, where he died late Saturday afternoon.

Pang first made headlines in 1997 when his wife, Janie, was shot to death at their home in Villa Park, The Times pointed out. No one has been convicted of the crime.

Pang, who was born in Taiwan, was accused of defrauding investors by giving them false information about returns on their investments in real estate and life insurance.
