SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - An Australian couple were arrested after being caught having sex in a stolen car at a petrol station, reports said on Monday.

The pair were spotted cavorting in the passenger seat of a stolen Toyota Landcruiser at Adelaide River in the country's north, police were quoted as saying.

"We received a call that two persons were having sexual intercourse in the passenger seat of a vehicle at the petrol bowser (pump)," watch commander Bob

Harrison said, according to public broadcaster ABC.

"We attended and we asked them to stop what they were doing and they didn't seem to want to, but they finally did."

The Northern Territory News said the driver was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, drink-driving and unlicensed driving. Both of them were also charged with indecent behaviour.

Police said the car had earlier been reported stolen, according to the reports. --AFP
