The Nation/Asia News Network

Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra made a phone call to address the red-shirt people who were rallying outside the Government House Saturday night.

He made the phone call at 9 pm.

He said he was travelling so it was not possible for him to make a video link to the rally.

"I would like to thank you, my people, for coming here to find out about my petition after having signed it," Thaksin said.
