Former coup leader Sonthi to become Matubhum Party leader

The Mathubhum Party announced Wednesday that former coup leader Gen Sonthi Boonyaratglin would become its leader.

Sonthi, former Army chief and chairman of the Council for Security Council, attended the press conference at the party's head office at 9:20 am.

He said he decided to join the party because the party remained impartial in the political divisiveness.
