JAKARTA: The Communications and Information Technology Ministry claims it has identified the computers used to upload sex videos allegedly featuring Peterpan frontman Nazril 'Ariel' Ilham and actresses Luna Maya and Cut Tari.
Ministry spokesman Gatot S. Dewa Broto said Friday the IP addresses belonged to the first uploaders of two sex videos.
The first video allegedly features Ariel and his girlfriend model and presenter Luna Maya, while the second one features Ariel and another model and presenter, Cut Tari.
'We've identified the IP addresses but not the perpetrators. It's still a good start though,' Gatot told The Jakarta Post.
Gatot did not disclose the location of the IP addresses or whether the addresses belonged to individuals or entities.
He said it was up to the police to divulge the information. 'We're only helping track those who uploaded the clips,' Gatot said.
National Police deputy spokesman Brig. Gen. Zainuri Lubis, however, said detectives had not received the data from the ministry.
'If they have located them, we would appreciate any help. Send the data to us as soon as possible so we can kick off the investigation immediately,' he said.
