A DESPERATE Beijing mother who wants to find a boyfriend for her daughter has uploaded a video of the naked girl walking out of a shower while fielding questions on prospective boyfriends, reported Nanyang Siang Pau.
The 80-second footage begins with the mother speaking to the camera and declaring her intention of finding a boyfriend for her 26-year-old daughter.
The camera follows the mother towards the bathroom, where her daughter walks out in the nude. When asked about her requirements for a boyfriend, the daughter replies:
"I'm all right, as long as (he) is nice to you (the mother) and nice to me. That's enough."
The online community has speculated that the daughter in the footage is an actress named Gan Lulu and the footage is genuine.
Although the Chinese actress has denied her involvement in the video, she later wrote in her blog admitting to being filmed by her mother in an attempt to find a suitor.
The video continues to show Lulu lying on the bed with only a towel wrapped around her, while her mum encourages her to talk about the qualities of the husband she hopes to find.
Lulu says in the video that she's currently single and that she's not "too ugly" but "no one wants" her.
"Even if you think I'm not very special, I think I'm pretty special and I'm also not an annoying person, so I don't believe no one wants me," said Lulu in the video.
In a blog entry posted on Feb 13, Lulu wrote that she reckoned it was time she admitted to being in the video, as several friends had called her to ask if it was her.
The 25-year-old actress said that her mother did what she did because she wanted her to find a companion and told the online community not to blame her mother for filming the video.
She wrote that she faulted her mum at first for being so careless but forgave her later because she understands how her mum feels.
"I pity my mum and because she is my mother, no matter what she does, whether it's wrong or right, it will still be right in my heart."
"I don't blame her anymore, because I love her!" wrote Lulu.
The actress also told the netizens off for posting nasty remarks of her mum.
"Please watch what you say. You have mothers too but if you can't control your words and want to continue scolding, then why don't you scold your own mother?"
"I won't allow anyone to harm my family, my mother!" continued Lulu.
