Nikkei opens down, Fast Retailing sold

TOKYO - Japan's Nikkei average opened 0.2 per cent lower on Friday, led down by Fast Retailing.

As of 8.01am, the benchmark Nikkei was down 41.04 points at 17,417.94.

The broader Topix index fell 0.3 per cent to 1,671.87. -- REUTERS
