S'pore shares close 2.11% lower

>SINGAPORE share prices closed 2.11 per cent lower on Monday as heightened worries over fallout from a crisis in the US subprime mortgage sector continued ahead of earnings reports by major US financial institutions, dealers said.

The Straits Times Index fell 69.20 points to 3,218.14.
