JTC appoints Mapletree to manage its REIT

SINGAPORE'S state-owned industrial landlord JTC Corp said on Friday it has appointed Mapletree to manage a real estate investment trust that will list in mid-2008.

The REIT will hold around 1.7 million square metres of factory and warehouse space worth around $1 billion, according to local media reports.

Mapletree, a unit of state investor Temasek Holdings, currently manages Mapletree Logistics Trust, which owns warehouse properties across the region. -- REUTERS
