>NEW YORK - BEAR Stearns Cos and Goldman Sachs Group gave investors the most profitable advice in the latter half of 2007, while previous leaders Morgan Keegan and Matrix USA stumbled badly, Barron's said in its Feb 11 edition.
Barron's said Morgan Keegan's focus list lost 17 per cent in the second half of the year, while Matrix USA's picks lost 11 per cent over the same period.
Bear Stearns' recommendations saw a 12 per cent gain for the six months ended 2007, while Goldman Sachs' picks finished in second place for the period, Barron's added. -- REUTERS
