Japan stocks jump after Wall St rally

>TOKYO, JAPAN - JAPAN'S Nikkei stock average opened 1.3 per cent higher on Friday, boosted by a tech-powered Wall Street rally and a stronger dollar that helped exporters such as Toyota Motor Corp gain.

At 8.05am local time, the Nikkei was up 1.9 per cent to power above 14,000 for the second time this week. The broader Topix was up 1.8 per cent at 1,370.59. -- REUTERS
