Mon, Jun 30, 2008
AFP

>Singapore share prices closed 0.28 per cent lower Monday with little impetus for investors to step in amid worries over the impact of record-high oil prices on the economy, dealers said.

The blue chip Straits Times Index gave up initial gains to close 8.37 points lower at 2,947.54.

Some 1 billion shares exchanged hands. Losers beat gainers 340 to 203. -- AFP
