STI down at midday

SINGAPORE shares ended the morning session lower with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 46.79 points, or 1.82 per cent, at 2,575.62.

Up to 501.6 million shares were traded.

Losers beat gainers 341 to 98.
