STI closes 0.1% lower

SINGAPORE shares closed lower on Tuesday with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.1 per cent, or 2.43 points at 2,358.91.

A total of 1,435.4 million shares exchanged hands.

Losers beat gainers 290 to 227.
