Nikkei opens at 1.48% higher

>TOKYO, JAPAN - JAPANESE Share prices rose 1.48 per cent at the opening on Tuesday, following an overnight surge on Wall Street.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange's benchmark Nikkei-225 index gained 133.67 points to 9,139.26 at the start.
