S Korea BOK cuts special loan rate for small firms

>SEOUL - The Bank of Korea on Monday chopped its special rate for lending to small- and medium-sized companies by 75 basis points, shortly after it cut its benchmark policy rate by the same amount, a central bank official said.

Following an emergency monetary policy meeting, the central bank official said the special loan rate would come down to 2.5 percent from the previous 3.25 percent.
