STI rises 5 per cent on Wall St rally

>SINGAPORE - Singapore's benchmark Straits Times Index jumped 5 percent in early morning trade on Wednesday helped by gains in regional markets and overnight gains on Wall Street.

By 0243 GMT, the index stood at 1,921.63 points. Property stocks such as CapitaLand , City Developments and Keppel Land buoyed the index.

CapitaLand was up 9.59 percent, CityDev gained 8 percent and Keppel Land soared 12.5 percent.
