China industrial output 5.4%

>BEIJING - CHINA'S industrial output growth slowed to 5.4 per cent in November from a year earlier, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Monday.

In the first 11 months of the year, industrial output increased by 13.7 per cent from the same period in 2007, according to the bureau.

Industrial output growth has slowed steadily since the middle of this year, and stood at 8.2 per cent in October, according to previously announced official data. -- AFP
