CANBERRA, Dec 15 (Reuters) - The Australian government will raise the issuance of government securities by A$5 billion (US$3.4 billion) to A$60 billion, Treasurer Wayne Swan said on Monday, in response to market demand for Australian treasury bonds.

Swan said demand for Australian treasury bonds continues to be strong, and further issuance is likely in the coming months to maintain the liquidity and efficiency of the treasury bond market.
