>TOKYO - TOKYO stocks opened higher on Wednesday after Wall Street rallied on a drastic interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve to near zero.

The key index gained 125.24 points, or 1.46 per cent, to 8,693.26 in the first five minutes of trading. -- AFP
